The meeting introduced the deployment measures made by the National Conference on ecological and environmental protection to comprehensively promote the construction of a beautiful China and accelerate the modernization of harmonious coexistence between man and nature, and exchanged views and prospects on the latest progress of China's ecological civilization construction and ecological environment protection and China ASEAN environmental cooperation. The meeting stated that China looks forward to strengthening cooperation with ASEAN parties, deepening the mutual promotion of the Global Development Initiative and the ASEAN Community Vision 2025 in the green and low-carbon field, advancing the process of global climate and environmental governance, and jointly promoting the construction of a green "Belt and Road" for regional green Provide support for development.
Participants highly appreciated the historic achievements of China's ecological civilization construction, spoke highly of the achievements of China-ASEAN environmental cooperation, and hoped to use the forum as a platform to continue to deepen the policy dialogue, capacity building and technical cooperation between the two sides in the field of ecological environment and climate change. Promote the deepening of China-ASEAN environmental protection cooperation.
This forum is one of the important activities for the 20th anniversary of the China-ASEAN Expo and the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, including roundtable dialogues and 4 parallel sub-forums. Nearly 500 representatives from the environmental departments of ASEAN countries, diplomatic envoys to China, local ecological and environmental departments of China, as well as relevant international organizations, research institutions and enterprises attended the meeting. As a platform for environmental policy dialogue and exchange between China and ASEAN countries, the China-ASEAN Environmental Cooperation Forum has been successfully held for 11 sessions since 2011.
